Postal Services in former USSRThe postal service in the former USSR is falling apart. Foreign letters are often opened by postal workers looking for money, and then discarded. If they are not, then they are left in insecure mailboxes, where anyone can remove them. Russian women can be incredibly jealous, at times. We even have examples of where mothers or other ladies have removed letters because it's not THEIR daughter who's getting the mail for foreign men and might therefore go and live in the west. Children steal the letters for the foreign stamps or because they think the letters might contain money. It's strange, but it happens, and it means that the lady never gets her letter and is never given the chance to respond.There are two ways of getting around these problems. Firstly to either use our mail forwarding service, or to send your letter by a method whereby the lady needs to sign for the letter, ie the Registered/Recorded Delivery type of service. From the US, the postal service charges around $8 for sending a letter to Russia. The UK charges around £3 to £4 for sending an 'International Recorded Delivery' letter to Russia. Letters from western countries typically take anywhere from one to two weeks for delivery, and one to two weeks to receive the reply. As you can see, this method is really, rather slow. However, it's fine for the odd set of photos or present. Our mail forwarding service, however, typically takes around two days to deliver a letter. At the point at which you submit it through the web site, it goes directly to our office in the city in which the lady lives. From there it's printed and posted to the lady, or delivered by hand, by our staff. Replies can come back exactly the same way, so you can write a letter one day and receive a reply the same week, or if you and the lady respond quickly, several times per week. So what do we charge for this service? A registered letter sent through our service costs just $6, $2 cheaper than the postal service in the US, and around the same cost as the postal service here in the UK. Costs in the rest of Europe and Australia are comparable to what the US and UK charge. Where we also help, is that you can have your letters translated to/from English/Russian. We can even translate them to and from French, German, Spanish, Italian etc if you're not a native English speaker. Pay attention to the ladies language ability, because a large number of the ladies can not read or write to a decent standard in English. It takes time from them, or anyone for that matter, to learn a foreign language. My own wife, for instance, hardly spoke any English when we first met, so for those of you who have taken the trouble to learn even a little Russian, you can usually get by, initially. English, by comparison to Russian, is a simply language to learn and within a few years of living in a western country, most ladies speak it fairly well. Don't worry too much about writing to ladies who don't already speak English well, for they will learn it, sooner or later. However, remember, that those ladies with language ability three or less will need both yours and their letters translating. So, help us get your letters to the ladies, and remember to either use registered post, or use our mail forwarding service. After all, what's the point in taking the trouble to write to her if she never receive's your letter? Album organization and lady availabilitySome of you may have noticed that a few months back, we changed the organization of the album (see http://www.angelikanetwork.com/album) and latest additions (see http://www.angelikanetwork.com/latest) page to allow clients to see when ladies were added to our service. This, in effect, creates one separate album for every month. All of our albums are sorted by popularity, so you get to see all the most popular ladies from a particular month. Now if you think about the ladies you're likely to meet in the west, most guys would be all to happy to date any one of the ladies shown on the first page of any of these months. We typically add around one thousand new ladies each month, so you're seeing the top fifty of each month by click on each of the links at the top of the album page (see http://www.angelikanetwork.com/album).Now the point I wanted to make about this was that ALL of these ladies are STILL available. Unlike some agencies who recruit ladies and just continue to sell their contact details long after they have been married and moved to the west, we actually check the availability of the ladies on a regular basis and remove those who are no longer available. You'll sometimes see a 'this lady is no longer available' message, which, unfortunately means you were too late and she's now probably in the fiancee/spouse visa process or already living in the west. Please don't think, just because the lady was added last year, or two or even three years ago, she's no longer available. These ladies are searching just as hard as those added last week for their future husband.
Valentines DayI wrote, just before Christmas, I believe, that we have now increased the number of gifts we offer for delivery. You can order your gift to a lady via her profile page or at our http://www.angelikanetwork.com/gifts.shtml page. We can now deliver flowers, floral baskets, perfume, teddy bears, candies etc, etc. As I'm sure you're well aware, Valentines day, February 14th, will shortly be upon us. At this sort of time of year, we just get inundated with gift orders, so please, please, make sure you don't wait until the last minute to put in your gift orders. Our staff in the former USSR spend almost the entire day getting gift deliveries made on this special day, so we need to get everything ordered in advance to ensure everything gets delivered on time. Valentines day is a special day for many of the ladies. February is a dull and dreary month, where it's cold outside and everything is still covered in snow. Everyone's wishing the snow would melt and looking forward to spring. It's nice to see how much joy and happiness a simple bunch or flowers, or a floral bouquet brings into the girls lives, knowing there is someone out there who cares for them. Make you're lady know she's someone special this year.Getting your butt on that planeIt's now February and in a couple of months, the snow will start melting and spring time will be with us. Those of you who've been waiting for spring will start traveling to meet their ladies, and as usual, we'll be spending our time entertaining many. many, clients over the coming months.Whilst many clients have been waiting for winter to pass so they can visit their lady, unfortunately, others fail to think about traveling to meet their lady, until suddenly, one day during the summer, Elena, Olga, Tanya, or whatever your sweetheart is called, is removed from the site because she's met someone and decided to get married. You've spent all that time and effort into writing to her for the past six months, but you didn't book that plane did you? You didn't make time in that busy work schedule of yours, and now she's gone. At some point you have to go, sooner or later, and if you're not really, ever, going to go, then you're just wasting your time. Don't leave it too late. Even if it doesn't work out, it's better to have tried and lost, than never have tried at all. So how do you make that tour a successful one? Well, to start off with, having correspondence before the tour makes a whole bunch of difference. You should aim to know what you think you need to know about the lady, and have her feel the same way, in order to get to the point that the TWO of you want to meet. This can take five letters, ten letters or twenty letters, it's up to you. However, if you've not written to any of these ladies in advance, you're ending up with a string of blind dates. You're only in the former USSR for a limited period, so make the time work for you, and know which ladies you feel are the ones you'd like to meet, ahead of time. Finally, when you go, take some small presents for the ladies parents and any children she might have. Russian culture is based around the family and she will appreciate that you care about both her and her family. This is especially so, if the lady has a young child. In such cases, she'll be assessing how good a husband AND father you will make, so make a good impression. Free profilesWe've been discussing, recently, how to increase the number of letters the ladies, who are not supermodels, receive. Most correspondence is, not altogether too surprisingly, for the most attractive ladies. We have some very attractive ladies who simply get little or no correspondence. We have now increased the number of ladies we list on the 'free' section of our site (see http://www.angelikanetwork.com/noletters.shtml) from 200 to a few thousand. There are many, many attractive ladies in this expanded section of our site, so write a few of them some letters, and let's help these ladies find that guy they are looking for. All you have to have done, is spent some money, an address, a letter, a gift or whatever at some point in the past and you'll be able to retrieve the ladies contact details from this section, free of charge. So everyone has an equal chance, everyone's limited to one free address per day.
